A TEENAGER from Grantham met a Coronation Street heart-throb at the semi-final of a slimming competition last Sunday (Aug 24).
Samantha Cresswell, 16, met Ryan Thomas, who plays builder Jason Grimshaw in the popular soap, after her weight-loss of an incredible 3st led her to the semi-final of Young Slimmer of the Year 2008.
Samantha, who attends a slimming club at Harrowby Methodist Church once a week, said: 'I was really excited to be announced as the Young Slimmer of the Year in my area, so to make it through to the national stages was just brilliant.
